The Meilin Mountain-Yinhu Mountain Ecological Recreation Bridge is located on the west side of Meilin Mountain Country Park and connects with Yinhu Mountain Country Park. It is a 300-kilometer-long hiking trail running east to west. As the first landmark project of the "Shanhai Liancheng" plan in Shenzhen, the bridge will connect the two mountain ranges, providing important habitats for wild animals and plants, and becoming a "highly dense urbanization area, innovative and demonstrative ecological corridor for harmonious coexistence between humans and nature."

THE GREEN UMBILICAL CORD proposal approaches from the perspective of ecosystem planning, utilizing the existing forest food web mechanism to prioritize the restoration of habitats on both ranges. Through low-impact strategies, it achieves sustainable nurturing between mountains and cities, humans and nature. The corridor space is divided into three levels, with a soil-covered arch bridge in the middle serving primarily mammals and ground-dwelling birds. The bridge is scientifically laid out with various habitats, transitioning naturally from the habitats on both sides to the center. The upper level adds a lightweight suspension bridge for recreational hiking and viewing, while increasing the crown density of animal passages. The bottom level primarily serves amphibians and reptiles. It uses culverts to eliminate steep __RR__ differences in animal access paths, enhancing flood control abilities. A special metal web is stretched between the arch bridge and the suspension bridge, using greenery and metal plates to create differentiated facades facing both traffic directions. Climbing plants can also reduce the auditory and visual disturbance of traffic on animals.
